City Old Boy Devastated By Terrorist Attack In Manchester

Former Coventry City loanee Oliver Norwood has admitted that he was devastated by the news of the terrorist attack in Manchester which killed 22 people and has now seen six arrested including one from Nuneaton.

The Northern Ireland international who made eighteen appearances for City in 2012 whilst on loan from Manchester United said to the BBC: "I spent a lot of time in the city and it's like a second home to me.  

"It's devastating to think that young children who went to a concert did not come home to their parents.

"Growing up not far from Manchester in Burnley, 20 miles away, I spent a lot of time of Manchester in my own childhood.

"It's difficult to think about what happened because it's madness."

Another former City loanee Josh McQuoid has been placed on the transfer list by Luton Town.

Former City loanee James Bailey has been offered a new deal by Carlisle United.

Former City loanee Mark Marshall has been offered a new deal by Bradford City.
