City Old Boy Becomes Port Vale Caretaker

Former Coventry City defender Robert Page has become the caretaker manager of Port Vale FC.

Page, had been assistant to Micky Adams who resigned yesterday and has been appointed interim manager until further notice by Cov kid and Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite.

The former City and Wales centre half, will be keeping his job with Smurthwaite telling BBC Radio Stoke: "If a new manager does come in, they'll have to work with Rob Page - that's the deal and it is part of my plan."
