Coventry City were today setting off for a week of pre-season training in Portugal.

City boss Andy Thorn and his backroom staff will put the players through their paces to burn off the excesses of the close season and start their preparations for the new season in a private training camp at Vale Do Lobo in the Algarve.

The Sky Blues are taking a full squad including new keepers Chris Dunn and Joe Murphy to the training camp where according to manager Andy Thorn, it will be training only with no matches.

City's first pre-season game is at Nuneaton Town on July 16th at 3pm.
