The Eagles are currently bottom of the Championship but Jutkiewicz speaking at the club's weekly press conference to Sky Blue Player said: "The thing with this league is that it's really tight and not much needs to happen for you to see a big change so we won't be paying attention to league position.
"Palace got a win against a good Watford side at the weekend and because anybody can beat anybody in this league a win can make a big difference.
"We still want to push our own boundaries and get further up the league because we don't want a mediocre season.
"We weren't getting carried away when we were winning so we will do the same after losing a couple. We just make sure that all the lads are around each other and keeping that spirit up and keeping the confidence high."
