Coventry City new boy Cody McDonald is hoping to help attract more fans back to The Ricoh Arena by scoring lots of goals, but he may even be able to attract a celebrity fans to the club.
McDonald is a self confessed Gooner, but he is also best mate to X-Factor contestant Ollie Murs
McDonald admitted to the CT: “I played non-league with him (Murs) at Witham Town where we played up front together. He’s a good player and it’s just unfortunate he suffered a few injuries."
"He’s a fantastic lad and he’s done great with his career. I’m sure he’ll be coming up to the Ricoh to watch me and the lads. The boys haven’t got off to the best of starts but they have been playing well and hopefully we can turn things round quickly."
"I don’t set myself any goal targets. I just want to have a good season as a team, that’s all I’m worried about.”
