Coventry City may bring in loans to strengthen the squad ahead of the transfer window which opens on January 1st.

Chris Coleman is desperate to bring in new blood and after Saturday's performance against Crystal Palace, may look at loan signings to boost the team until he is able to sign players.

City Chairman Ray Ranson is also of the same view and told the CT: We can't buy anyone until January but we have got the option to take loans with a view to making them permanent signings.

"We have been taking stock, as we have done since we came in and we will be looking at our target list, the positions the manager wants to strengthen and the players available in those positions.

"The intention was always going to be to strengthen in the window anyway as we continue to build, but we are looking all the time and if we can act sooner then we will."
