The wait for defender James McPake looks set to rumble on as there are rumours frrom Scotland that cash-strapped Livingston are demanding £250,000 to terminate the contract of McPake which expires in June.

City will offer an undisclosed sum but nowhere near that amount and if the Almondvale Stadium based club which is run from Italy, do not agree then the Sky Blues will have to wait until the summer before bringing in the centre half.

With Elliott Ward,Scott Dann and now Marcus Hall injured, City were looking to bring in McPake so that Stephen Wright could revert to his usual right back slot.
