Coventry City are looking for new Associate Directors.

The current Associate Directors already have an advisory board which feeds back into the club and John Clarke told the club website: "The Associate Directors had been in place for some years but at the same time we knew we wanted to forge stronger links in the local community, and they also wanted to give more than simple support on a Saturday.

"The result has been the formation of a really effective group which is working on a number of fronts.

"The formation of our Asian Initiative has already born fruit by creating strong links with a leading Indian footballing academy. Top Indian player Anwar Ali has been over to look at the way the club works and to take back what he learned here to his club YFC Rurka Kalan while some officials from the club also saw us in action at the Ricoh.

"Coventry University students have been out to work with YFC Rurka Kalan earlier in the year and we want to strengthen those links still further.

"Jas Sandhu and Alan Malik, both Associate Directors, have spearheaded the initiative and have made some great strides.

"We have got the Advisory Board firmly established and are now looking for more members.

"We are hoping to recruit people who have established places in the local or regional business community, a love of the Sky Blues and a wish to help the club.

"We have been talking to several possible members, but are always keen to hear from people who think they might be able to help us.

"We know that we have to reach as many people as we possibly can, and the Advisory Board is a key way of doing that."
