Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd could be set to return to Colchester United in an attempt to sign left back Marc Tierney.
Tierney is 24, and 6'0" tall. He s currently negotiating a contract extension with Colchester,but has not accepted any offers so far made.
Boothroyd knows all about Tierney and his contract negotiation from his days at Colchester and the full back has stated that he aware that Colchester will sell him if he fails to agree terms on an improved contract offer. His existing contract has another year to run.
Coventry City are not the only club interested in Tierney. The other clubs thought to be interested are Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Norwich City.
