Coventry City Ladies' Hayley Ladd played for the Wales Senior Women's Team in a 2-0 friendly defeat against Holland this afternoon.

Ladd, who joined City from Arsenal earlier this season, collected her eleventh cap in the game at the Tata Steel Stadium in Velsen-Zuid on the Dutch coast, some 20kms north of Amsterdam.

Wales had three good chances early on but the hosts took the lead in the 38th minute with a well struck drive from the edge of the box.

Into the second and Wales were awarded a penalty after Holland had hit the bar at the other end. Captain Jessica Fishlock took the kick but saw it saved by the Dutch keeper.

In stoppage time, the home nation scored a second with a 25 yarder into the top corner to take the win.
