City Ladies Win Leicester Tournament

Coventry City Ladies won a Women's football tournament in Leicester today.

In a tournament in Leicester, City beat Shaw Lane 3-0 with goals from Jade Formaston, Kelly Wilson and an own goal.

The Sky Blues then beat Leicester City Women 2-1 in their next game with Jade Formaston and Katie Lowder on target and in their final group game, they beat  Forest 1-0 with a goal from Sam Quayle.

Into the Semi-Final and City faced Leiester Ladies. Destiny Toussaint gave Coventry a sixth minute lead before goals from Katie Lowder and Amber Hughes booked City's place in the final.

That final saw the Sky Blues face Nottingham Forest who had over-come Bradford City in the Semi-Final and in the fifth minute, City went ahead through Ashley Neville.

Five minutes later and Callen Barber put City two goals up with a after a 35 yard screamer into the top corner and that was enough to give City a 2-0 victory and the Leicester Tournament title.
