City Ladies Travel To Keynsham Town

After an inconsistent start, Coventry City Ladies have really started to show the credentials that helped them to fifth place in the FA Women’s Premier League National Division last season, the highest-ever league finish in the club’s history.

In fact they boast a flawless away record this season, winning all four of their matches on the road, scoring 12 goals and conceding just one. They could extend that run to five tomorrow, when they travel to Somerset to take on struggling Keynsham Town.

With Gillingham and Cardiff – who currently preoccupy the top two spots – in cup action this weekend, Nicholls is well aware that victory will take them to within a point of the Gills at the summit of the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division table. Nicholls however, is not taking anything for granted against a team who have won just once in seven league ties this season.

“Every team in this league are dangerous, regardless of their position,” he stated. “We approach each game like we are playing the best and with that attitude we will get what we deserve. Five away wins out of five is a big challenge but I know we are ready for it and will keep pushing on.”

The match will take place on Sunday 10th November at Crown Fields and will kick-off at 2pm.
