Coventry City Ladies beat Leeds Ladies 3-1.‎
 
In this FA Cup Second Round tie at Coventry Sphinx FC, City got off to a a great start when Amber Hughes got down the right and beat Colman with a low drive after one hundred and sixty seconds.
 
 
A tie of two sides who missed out on WSL football due to not getting funding from their mens clubs, ‎City were able to get in plenty of crosses with one leading to Quayle firing into the side netting in the seventeenth minute.
 
 
In the 39th minute, the Leeds midfield allowed City to attack and Amber Hughes fired home for her second
 
 
The attacks continued with City winning two corners before the break and Hughes having three raids on goal before Gauntlett had a 61st minute shot superbly pushed over for a corner. ‎
 
Leeds had a corner of their own and Caz Huggett headed home to get the visitors back in the game.
 
Hughes, supported by great work from Ash Neville, Sam Quayle and Jade Formaston, had a 66th minute shot saved ‎and Demody went close before Hughes drove across the goal in the 78th minute.
 
Leeds battled to the end but in stoppage time, Hughes completed her hat-trick with a shot that Colman spilled into the net.
