City Ladies Support Deaf Cause

Coventry City Ladies have agreed to help the British Deaf Association's Great Britain Womens team who have qualified for the Deaflympics in Melbourne,Australia next year after beating Norway 4-0,Sweden 7-2 and Denmark 2-1 in the Scandinavian Cup, by playing them in a friendly at Coventry University's Westwood Heath ground at 1pm on Sunday.

With City Ladies taking on Sunderland in a WPL Northern Division clash at Coventry Sphinx on the same day, the Sky Blues will field a reserve strength side and will give reserves boss Mark Howard a chance to look at some of the younger players.

CCLFC Spokesman Kev Monks said: "Coventry City Ladies pride ourselves on a disability friendly policy and we are delighted to assist the Great Britain team in their preparation for this prestigous tournament. "
