Coventry City Ladies started their WPL Northern Division campaign with a 2-0 loss at Sheffield FC.
The WPL Southern Division champions, went a goal down early on when Suzanne Davies clipped the ball in off the far post.
In the second half, a stunning goal from Jodie Michalska gave Sheffield, the reigning Northern Division champions a second goal and sent City to a 2-0 defeat.
