City Ladies Reserves Beat Liverpool

Coventry City Ladies Reserves beat Liverpool in a WPL Reserve Division fixture this afternoon.

City took the lead on the half hour mark through Karen Clough before Nicole Dale added a second in the 38th minute after the visitors had drawn level.

The Sky Blues went 3-1`up after an hour thanks to a goal from Emily Simpkins but Liverpool struck back with two penalties. The first was saved by Adele Rogers but the second went in to reduce the arrears.

Sammi Ryder, had been in good form during the game, putting City 4-2 up in the 84th minute and although Liverpool scored a late goal, City were 4-3 winners.
