Coventry City Ladies are through to the Quarter-Finals of the FA WPL League Cup with a 6-3 win at Lewes Ladies.

At The Dripping Pan, City took the lead when captain Natasha Lynch headed home from a corner and it was two when Lynch found Destiny Toussaint with a long ball and she tucked the ball past the keeper who had initially blocked her shot.

Straight after the restart, it was 3-0 to the Sky Blues when Destiny Toussaint fired home from a through ball.

Kelly Newton pulled a goal back only for substitute Maz Gauntlett to make it four and Amber Hughes to hit a screamer for the fifth and Jade Formaston made it six with a great strike after collecting the ball some forty yards out.

Lewes scored a second goal with a penalty converted just by Catherine O'Hagan and then had another penalty which O'Hagan also scored from but City were through.
