City Ladies Set Club Record Win In County Cup

Coventry City Ladies started their defence of the Birmingham County FA Women's Cup with a Second Round club record 19-0  victory over Coseley Town.

The game had to be moved to Bedworth United and saw City take an early lead through Helen Dermody and a second from youngster Lobby Pigott.

The goals continued to fly in with a second goal each for Piggott and Dermody before Destiny Toussaint, skipper Natasha Lynch and Katie Lowder hit a brace to make it 8-0 at half-time.

Lowder completed her hat-trick before Ellie Towers bagged her first senior goal from 25 yards for number ten.

Karen Clough made it eleven followed by a goal from Sammy Quayle and a fourth for Lowder,

Helen Dermody completed her hat-trick as City looked to beat the 17-0 win over Cottage Farm Rangers in the competition last year.

Ashley Neville, made it 15-0 with the most spectacular strike to date, left footed into top corner from fully 35 yards

Karen Clough scored her second and Ashley Neville made it seventeen to equal the record.

Destiny Toussaint and Callen Barber scored late on to give City a 19-0 win.

City now travel to Burton Albion in the Third Round.
