Coventry City are in talks with Derby County about extending the loan of  James Bailey.

The midfielder's loan expires after the away game at Stevenage this month and the Sky Blues are looking to take Bailey for the rest of the season.

Derby County manager Nigel Clough is quoted as saying; "Playing week in, week out is benefiting James and he is playing well.

"I spoke to Mark Robins and they are very pleased with him. We know Mark and Steve Taylor well so it is an ideal situation to James to be at Coventry.

"James is not a player who can play in different positions so it will be Coventry on loan or somewhere else."
