Coventry City are hoping to have Carl Baker signed by tomorrow.
Baker has signed thirteen goals this season for Stockport County in League One and the Sky Blues want the 27 year old midfielder in the squad to face Barnsley at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
Baker started his career at Southport and hit 19 goals from them in 78 (+9) appearances before moving to Morecambe where he scored 11 goals in 46 (+2 ) appearances.
He joined Stockport County in the summer of 2008 and has made 41 (+10) appearances) and scored 16 goals.
In all those games, he has received 22 yellow cards and two red.
