Paul Knowles, the Groundsman at Northampton Town FC has been highly commended in the Football League Groundsmen Awards.
The pitch at Northampton was improved over the summer thanks to payments from Coventry City who only used it for two matches before returning back to their rightful home in the city of Coventry and has been in very good condition throughout the season thanks to the investment, rumoured to be around £300k from the Sky Blues.
The Groundsman Of The Year For League One was Craig Richardson of Bristol City with Dale Frith (Fleetwood Town) and Lee Williams (Oldham Athletic) highly commended.
