City Have Not Lost To Preston In A Cup Tie

Tomorrow night will see the first time Coventry City and Preston North End have met in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and is only the fourth cup match between the two sides in 34 league and cup meetings.

Coventry City got to this stage by beating Burton at home on penalties after a 0-0 draw, a 4-0 win at York City and a penalties win over Sheffield United after a 1-1 draw.

Preston beat Carlisle away on penalties, won 4-2 at Morecambe and needed penalties to win at Bury after a 3-3 draw.

Of the three previous cup matches between the two sides, City have won all three scoring nine goals to Preston's three.
