City Go Sixteenth

Coventry City went sixteenth in the League One table after their 2-0 victory at Walsall.

City are now four points behind sixth placed Sheffield United but the Blades have two games in hand and three points clear of the fourth from bottom side Crawley Town.

In the two other League One games played today, Swindon Town went top of the league after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Fleetwood Town.

Port Vale beat Gillingham 2-1 with a late goal. Former City striker Cody MacDonald scored for the Gills.

In the FA Cup, two League One sides pulled off shocks. Preston North End beat Norwich City 2-0 and Rochdale beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 whilst Bradford City drew 3-3 at Millwall.
