City Finish Eighth In League One

Coventry City have finished eighth in League One after completing their League campaign with a 2-0 victory at Oldham Athletic.

The Sky Blues amassed 69 points from 46 matches and finished five points behind Barnsley who booked the final play-off place with a 4-1 win at League One champions Wigan Athletic.

Burton Albion also went up with Wigan, after drawing 0-0 at Doncaster in a game which sent Rovers into League 2 with Blackpool who lost 5-1 at Peterborough, Colchester who lost 2-1 at home to Rochdale and Crewe who lost 2-0 at Fleetwood Town, who finished 19th.

Walsall finished third with a 5-0 win at Port Vale with Millwall were fourth after a 2-1 win at rivals Gillingham. The Lions will face Bradford City in the Play-Offs after Bradford City beat Chesterfield 2-0 with Walsall playing Barnsley.

Elsewhere, Bury beat Southend 3-2 with one of Southend's goals being scored by former City midfielder Franck Moussa, Scunthorpe finished seventh three goals behind sixth placed Barnsley with a 2-0 win at Sheffield United and Swindon Town beat Shrewsbury who finished 20th, 3-0.
