CITY FANS SHOWING SUPPORT ONCE MORE

The Sky Blues look set to be cheered on by another strong away support following Sunday’s hard-fought 2-2 draw with local rivals Leicester.

Chris Coleman’s side take on West Bromwich Albion in what will be their second Midlands derby away from home in four days and as of mid-afternoon today the club have confirmed that just over 1000 Coventry City tickets have been sold.

With their West Midlands rivals situated only a short trip away, it seems all problems of traffic, family and work the following morning have gone out the window as the Sky Blue army once again provide a 12th away man for their team.

Fans, players and the management team will agree that the support the club received in Sundays derby with local rivals Leicester played a pivotal role in what was unquestionably one of the greatest fight-backs of the season so far.

At two goals down, it was clear that the players and indeed Coleman on the touchline were in need of a lift especially after a first half performance which resulted in the manager giving his players a much deserved grilling at the interval and this had a positive effect on the players.

Meanwhile manager Chris Coleman admits is side may not enjoy much possession this evening but is wanting his players make the home-side feel uncomfortable and get forward as much as possible.

He told the Coventry Telegraph, “Football is a sport and about going up against an opposition and asking them questions and making them feel uncomfortable, especially against a better team and West Brom are one of the better teams in our league.

"We know West Brom will have a lot of the ball but we can still pass it and ask questions offensively, and I want to see us getting forward and creating chances otherwise we are not going to win the game, but it doesn’t mean when we haven’t got the ball we have to be open, and that’s the difference.”

Match tickets are still available to purchase on the gate or at the away ticket office which is situated by the entrance to the away end and tickets are priced at £23 for adults, £14 for students/concessions and £8 for children.
