According to the Coventry Telegraph today, a member of Coventry City FA Cup winning team is to lodge a complaint to police.

Dave Bennett, who scored for City in the 1987 FA Cup Final, is to complain to police after his elderly sister had her home, stormed by armed police looking for a suspect wanted for firearms offences, who was not there or at another house in the road which was also raided.

Bennett's sister who lives along is recovering from a broken back and had to be treated for shock, whilst Bennett told the Coventry Teelgraph: "They messed up and we had to pick up the pieces. Hermine is in a bad way. She could have died – what would have been said then?

“I am not going to allow this to be swept under the carpet.”
