A number of City supporters who watched City's draw at Nuneaton Town said they were not coming back a second time and there was only a crowd of 878 to see City draw 0-0 with Oxford United in their last pre-season game.
City fielded Adam Armstrong but he had little service in a game that Oxford should have wrapped up in the second half when Danny Hylton stroked a penalty high into the stand and Hoban and Ruffels hitting the post.
