Coventry City have been drawn away to Portsmouth in the FA Cup 3rd Round.

The Sky Blues have played Portsmouth, who are currently bottom of the Premiership, four times in the FA Cup before and have won two and drawn two matches.

The match will take place on the weekend of Jaunary 2nd 2010 and full match/ticket details will appear on this site as soon as they are announced.

City were ball number 12 in the draw made by 2018 World Cup Bid Ambassadors Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave and England Women's International Kelly Smith at Wembley.

If Coventry City are one of the televised matches, they will get £144,000 for a live broadcast, £72,000 for a live replay broadcast and £6,750 for highlights.

If City win their third round tie, they will receive £67,500.

This afternoon, Conference side Kettering Town who fielded former Sky Blue Richie Partridge drew 1-1 with League One Leeds United who included Michael Doyle in their side. Nuneaton born Ian Roper put The Poppies ahead before Jermaine Beckford equalised.

Fratton Park has a capacity of 20,200 and City should get at least 3,000 tickets for the game.
