City Down To Seventeenth

Coventry City are down to 17th in the Championship table after a 2-1 defeat at third placed Bristol City this afternoon.

West Brom stay top on goal difference from Watford. The Baggies lost 2-0 at Ipswich whilst Watford won 3-0 at Southampton.

Stoke are fourth having drawn 1-1 at home to Hull. Fifth placed side Charlton lost to bottom side Colchester 2-1. The side has Micky Adams as an assistant manager and has taken Adam Virgo on loan for the rest of the season, leap-frogged Preston who lost 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.

Claus Jorgensen scored for Blackpool in a 3-0 home win against Burnley, whilst Cardiff beat Plymouth and QPR beat City's next league opponents Leicester City 3-1. The rest of the games ended in draws.

Locally, Nuneaton Borough drew 0-0 at Hinckley in a Conference North game.
Rugby Town drew 2-2 with Banbury United. Stone and Breward had VS ahead but in the final two minutes of the match, the Puritans scored twice to nick a point.

At The Oval and in front of a crowd of 525, Bedworth United drew 1-1 with Leamington. Ben Mackey put the Brakes ahead before Williams equalised in the 79th minute.

Midland Alliance action, saw Coventry Sphinx win 2-1 at Racing Club Warwick. Former Sky Blue Tom Bates and Kyle Rhodes scored for Paul Charnley's side.

In the Midland Combination, Coventry Copsewood beat Heather 1-0 with a Partridge goal. Nuneaton Griff drew 1-1 at Coleshill with second placed Southam held 1-1 at home by Highgate. Massey Ferguson lost 4-1 at Pershore Town.

In Division One, Stockingford won 1-0 at Coton Green, Alveston drew 0-0 at home and Leamington Hibernian were beaten 3-0.
