City Down To Eighteenth

Coventry CIty are down to eighteenth in the League One table after their 3-1 home defeat to nineteenth placed Crewe.

The Sky Blues have 52 points from 45 games, the same as Crewe but City have a better goal difference.

Tony Mowbray's side now need a result at 21st placed Crawley Town who have fifty points after losing 4-3 at Peterborough United next Sunday.

20th placed Notts County beat Doncaster Rovers 2-1, to move out of the bottom four and they are two points ahead of Leyton Orient who drew 1-1 with fifth placed Sheffield United.

23rd placed Colchester United could still escape. The U's won 3-2 at Fleetwood and two wins in their final two games would give them 54 points and safety if other results go their way.

Bottom side Yeovil were beaten 2-1 by Port Vale who have 54 points and are safe for another season.

League One champions Bristol City won 2-0 at Chesterfield, whilst Preston beat fourth placed Swindon Town. Preston are a point ahead of MK Dons in the race for the other automatic promotion place. MK Dons won 3-2 at Rochdale.

Elsewhere, Bradford City beat Barnsley 1-0, Scunthorpe beat Gillingham 2-1 and Walsall beat Oldham 2-0.
