City Down To Eighteenth

Coventry City dropped down to eighteenth in the Championship table after letting two goals in a mad five minutes at the end of the first half at Derby County this afternoon.

City's 2-2 draw now means that the Sky Blues are a point better off than Derby, two than Doncaster who lost 3-1 at home to Cardiff City and four ahead of fourth from bottom Crystal Palace who lost 2-1 at Ipswich.

The Sky Blues are nine points clear of third from bottom Scunthorpe United who shocked the division with a 4-1 home win over leaders Queens Park Rangers.

Second from bottom Preston drew 1-1 at Portsmouth whilst Micky Adams' Sheffield United are bottom of the Championship after a 2-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough.

At the top, Norwich stay second, despite a 3-0 loss at fourth placed Swansea. Reading moved up to fifth with a 4-3 win at Nottingham Forest whilst Leeds occupy the final play-off place spot despite losing 3-2 at Millwall who are now seventh.

Elsewhere, Barnsley beat Bristol City 4-2, Hull won 2-1 at Watford and Leicester beat Burnley 4-0 with former City loanee Patrick Van Aanholt on target.
