Coventry City are down to 20th in the Championship after losing 2-1 at Preston North End this afternoon.

City dropped a place due to Middlesbrough beat Watford 2-1 at the Riverside Stadium.

The Sky Blues are seven points clear of Micky Adams' Sheffield United who beat Leeds 2-0 but still remain in the bottom three and eight points clear of Scunthorpe who lost 2-0 at Ipswich.

Leaders QPR won 1-0 at Doncaster and are nine points clear of second placed Norwich who drew 1-1 at Hull City.

Swansea's 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest keeps them third whilst Cardiff were pegged back at Millwall in a 3-3 draw.

Reading are up to seventh with a 1-0 win at Doncaster whilst Danny Fox was booked in Burnley's 2-0 defeat at Bristol City.

Portsmouth won 1-0 at Leicester and Palace drew 2-2 with Derby.
