Coventry City are down to eighteenth in the Championship table after the defeat by Plymouth Argyle.

The Sky Blues are five points ahead of Watford who are third from bottom and three ahead of Norwich City one place below them.

Wolves who won 2-1 at Southampton top the table by six points from Birmingham City who beat Coventry's next opponents Sheffield Wednesday 3-0.

The top six remains as it was with Swansea who visit the Ricoh Arena on November 25th in seventh place.

Doncaster who beat Ipswich 1-0 in the 5.20pm game are still bottom but have caught up with Nottingham Forest on points.

Scunthorpe lead League One, a point clear of Leicester and Millwall.

Former Sky Blue Reserve teamer Baz Savage scored for Tranmere whilst Lee Hughes was sent off in stoppage time for Oldham.

Locally, Rugby lost to Evesham 1-0. The top three in the Southern League Midland Division all won. Leaders Leamington beat Barton Rovers 4-1 with Micky Bellingham hitting a hat-trick. Goals from Gaunt and Hood in each half gave Atherstone a 2-0 victory over Bury Town with Nuneaton winning 3-0 at Malvern thanks to a Foster brace and Armson.

Stratford are now the only club with CV postcode still in the FA Vase with Sphinx losing at Stone, Stratford beat fellow Midland Alliance side Causeway 4-2 with Anthony Robinson scoring twice.

In the Midland Alliance, Racing Club Warwick lost 1-0 at home to Highgate.

In the Midland Combination, the big winners were Coventry Copsewood who beat Pershore Town 5-0 with Amoudon getting a second half hat-trick and goals from Middleton and Farquharson.

Southam drew at Coton Green, Massey Ferguson drew 0-0 with Heath Hayes with an 85th minute Wilks goal giving Nuneaton Griff a 1-0 win versus Bolehall Swifts.

Coventry Amatuers were beaten 4-0 at Hampton but Coventry Sphinx Reserves beat Banbury United 5-0.
