Coventry City are down to seventeenth in the League One table after theri 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

The Sky Blues are now only four points plus a better goal difference behind fourth from bottom Carlisle United who dropped into the bottom four after a 4-1 defeat at Notts County and Crewe winning 3-1 at Gillingham.

Third from bottom Shrewsbury Town moved to within five points of City with a 2-1 win over Bradford City whilst second from bottom Stevenage, who are Coventry City's next opponents, went down to a late 3-2 defeat at home to MK Dons.

Wolves now lead the table after a 2-0 win at Sheffield United, ahead of Brentford and Leyton Orient who snatched a 1-1 draw at Walsall.

Rotherham United moved up to fourth with a 1-0 win over sixth placed Peterborough United and Preston North End losing 1-0 at Swindon Town.

Elsewhere, Oldham beat Crawley 1-0 and Port Vale beat Tranmere 3-2.
