Coventry City have completed the signing of Bristol City winger Michael McIndoe.

McIndoe agreed terms on a move reported at £350,000 by many media outlets or undisclosed if you are Ray Ranson, today and has signed a two year deal.

Speaking to the club website, Chris Coleman said: "This is a very good signing for us. Michael has proved himself right at the top of the Championship and is just the type of player we have been looking for.

"He will give us natural width down the left side - something we have needed for some time- is very good at running at defences and is also excellent in front of goal, as we know from last season when he scored against us at the Ricoh!

"I have said all along that we want players who we know can take us to the next level, and Michael fits firmly into that bracket. He was recently on the verge of moving to Sheffield United, but are delighted he has opted to join us.

"There is no way we were going to rush into signings just for the sake of bringing people into the club. I know that has been frustrating but Michael is someone we have targeted and while we have had to be patient to bring him in, I am certain he will be a key player for us.

"He is a fierce competitor and both he and Sammy Clingan bring the sort of quality and experience we have been looking to add to the squad. They have both been mainstays of their previous clubs and that is just what we want them to be for us.

"I am still looking to strengthen because we have been very unlucky with the injury to James McPake, and the chairman and board have been working hard to make that happen."
