Coventry City have complained to Scunthorpe United over comments made by Irons Boss Brian Laws which the Sky Blues see as trying to unsettle Leon Clarke.
Laws had said that they would like Clarke to return but his wages would be a stumbling block and Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Steven Pressley said: “That’s absolute nonsense - nothing could be further from the truth and for them to be talking that way about a player contracted to another club is inexcusable.”
“That type of speculation infuriates me because it can destabilise a player and we’ve contacted Scunthorpe to say how disgusted we are with their behaviour.”
