Coventry City have checked on York City striker Richard Brodie.

The Sky Blues had the striker watched when he played for the Minstermen at Rushden recently.

According to the YorkPress, Peterborough United and Huddersfield Town have also checked on York's leading scorer whose goals have helped to take the Conference side to the third round of the FA Cup and a player who scored his 20th goal of the season this afternoon against Wrexham..

According to York City Chairman Jason McGill, no bids have been received for the striker. He said to the York Press:  “The rumours are not true. We’ve not spoken to anybody about Richard – no club whatsoever. “Nobody has contacted the club and expressed an interest.”
