City Campaign Does Not Earn Award

The Bring City Home campaign run by the Coventry Telegraph may have helped to get Coventry City playing again in Coventry but it failed to win the newspaper an award tonight at the Press Gazette's British Journalisim Awards.

The campaign did not win the Campaign Of The Year award at the awards and Coventry Telegraph reporter Simon Gilbert who had done a lot of work for the campaign failed to pick up the award in the Sports section.

Local Heroes winner is Carl Eve of The Herald (Plymouth)

Business Journalist of the Year is Jonathan Calvert and Heidi Blake of The Sunday Times’s Insight Team.

 Politics journalist of the year prize goes to The Times

Campaign of the year prize goes to George Arbuthnott of The Sunday Times.

Sports journalist of the year prize goes to Jonathan Calvert an Heidi Blake of The Sunday Times Insight Team.

Digital innovation of the year award goes to The Guardian for NSA files: Decoded.

Science and technology award goes to the BBC’s Pallab Ghosh

Photojournalist of the year award goes to David Rose of the Telegraph

Breaking news award goes to Nick Craven ad Ross Slater of The Mail on Sunday

Foreign Affairs journalist of the year is Patrick Cockburn of The Independent.

Investigation of the year award goes to Jonathan Calvert and Heidi Blake of The Sunday Times Insight Team

Marie Colvin Award goes to Anthony Loyd of The Times

Journalist of the Year. Winner is: Andrew Norfolk of The Times
