Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that he will take a look at young midfielder Conor Thomas during this afternoon's pre-season game at Walsall.

The sixteen year old midfielder burst onto the Academy scene two seasons ago with some excellent performances for City U18's and worked hard last season to earn himself a first team squad number.

Rather than being turning out for the U18's this morning, Thomas, who has England U17 experience, will be on the team coach to Walsall.

Speaking to the CT, Aidy Boothroyd said: "We have got some good young players coming through and I want to have a look at young Conor Thomas at Walsall."
