City Boss Less Than Happy With Pitch Invaders

Coventry City manager Mark Robins praised the City support which out numbered Walsall on their own ground but was less than happy with those who invaded the pitch in celebration when Luke Thomas equalised.

The backing from the 2,600 plus City support at the Banks's Stadium was excellent but when City's second goal went in, some took to the pitch in celebration with reports of a bottle being thrown.

Speaking about this, Robins told the media: “The supporters are passionate and 100 per cent behind us and while they have got to behave themselves and not enter the field of play, that’s disappointing.

“But at the same time they were getting behind the team and supporting the team and helping us get back on level terms.

“I have not seen a bottle thrown.

“All I saw was we equalised and the supporters went to celebrate as normal, with the exception of being on the pitch, which is not acceptable. But they are brilliant supporters in general.”
