Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is happy that James Maddison came through sixty two minutes of City U21's win over Birmingham City.

Speaking about Maddison to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Mowbray said: “He came through with no problem, showed the skills we know he has and laid on our goal with a lovely ball.

“You always have to be prudent after a long lay-off but there was no reaction during the game and he showed no ill-effects afterwards. The plan was always to take him off after an hour and he’s feeling very confident in himself.”
