City Bid For Tom Pope

It has been revealed that Coventry City made a bid for Port Vale striiker Tom Pope during the January Transfer Window.

Accoridng to an article in the Stoke Sentinel, Pope said: This one didn’t make the headlines, but our owner told me he rejected an offer from Coventry City for me during the transfer window.

"The figure I believe was around £25,000, but to be honest I didn’t dig too deeply into it.

"Norman (Smurfwaite)  texted me a couple of weeks ago to tell me he’d had the offer but had turned it down."
