City Back Down To 11th

Coventry City are back down to eleventh in the Championship table after Tuesday night's matches.

Middlesbrough's 2-0 win against Preston North End, who left Elliott Ward on the bench was the result of the Sky Blues dropping a place.

Blackpool were the big winners on the night with a 5-1 stuffing of Swansea City whilst Scunthorpe beat Peterborough 4-0 and Bristol City beat Barnsley 5-3.

Leaders Newcastle won 1-0 at Doncaster, Nottingham Forest kept up the pressure on the top two with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and at the bottom, Plymouth narrowed the gap to fourth from bottom Sheffield Wednesday to three points with a 2-0 win at Ipswich. In the other game, QPR drew 1-1 with Derby.

Locally, Rugby Town were beaten 3-2 at home by Bashley, Bedworth beat Beaconsfield Sycob 1-0, Atherstone drew 2-2 at Burnham and Stratford Town won 2-0 at Oadby Town.
