Shrewsbury are second bottom with ten points one more than the Sky Blues are losing 2-0 at second placed Bradford City with Southend who lost 3-0 at sixth placed Rochdale third bottom.
Scunthorpe United stay top after a 1-1 draw with fifth placed Northampton Town whilst third placed Bury lost 3-1 at seventh placed Peterborough United.
Elsewhere, Bolton won 1-0 at Swindon.
