City Back Bottom Again

Coventry City were back bottom of the Championship table after the 1-0 defeat at West Ham United this afternoon.

City went bottom due to Doncaster beating Barnsley 2-0. Rovers now have 22 points but are still two points behind third from bottom Nottingham Forest who won 3-1 at Ipswich.

Fourth from bottom Bristol City meet fifth from bottom Millwall tomorrow.

At the top of the table, West Ham went top with their win after Southampton lost 3-0 at Brighton and had Ricky Lambert sent off in the process.

Cardiff City moved up to third with former Sky Blue Aron Gunnarsson scoring in a 3-1 win over fifth placed Reading. Cardiff go above Middlesbrough who lost 3-0 at Blackpool.

Hull stay sixth despite a 1-0 home defeat by Derby.

Elsewhere, former Coventry City forward Marlon King scored for Birmingham City in a 1-1 draw at Peterborough.

Leeds beat Burnley 2-0 and Portsmouth beat Watford 2-0.
