City Ask For Away Game Opener

Coventry City have requested an away game for the opening day of next season in case the Coventry Arena is not 100% ready.

The club are looking to organise a home friendly on August 2nd to inaugurate the new stadium. Newcastle United have offered to be the opponents free of charge, However, City Chairman Mike McGinnity is believed to be looking for foreign opposition.
