BOOKIES NOT FANCYING CITY'S CHANCES OF AVOIDING THE DROP 

Coventry City Russell Slade might be struggling for optiimisim that the Sky Blues will be playing League One football next season, following Saturday's home defeat to Swindon Town but the bookmakers, who are offering odds on it, are more or less certain that City will be in League Two next season.

Most of the bookmakers offering odds. have Coventry City at 1/20 to be relegated with a handful offering odds of 1/25 on Russell Slade's side avoiding the drop.

As to who is coming down with City, the bookies appear to be plumping for Chesterfield with Betfair and Paddy Power offerig odds of 1/33 for the Spireites to be relegated.

Swindon Town are at 4/7 to go down with Port Vale at 4/6, Oldham Athletic at 2/1, Bury at 9/4, Shrewsbury 4/1 and Gillingham at 5/1.

Coventry City are also favourites to win the EFL Trophy on Sunday April 2nd at Wembley with most of the bookmakers offering odds of 11/10.

Oxford United are at 2/1 with Luton Town at 5/2.
