Former Sky Blues stalwart of the 1980s Peter Hormantschuk is organising a golf day for a charity very close to his heart later this month. An Association member and regular visitor to the Ricoh at City home games as a Coventry City Former Players Association guest ’Chukkie’ is putting together a Charity Golf Day at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club on Wednesday 29th August 2012 from 12pm.

Peter who now lives in Binley played for the Sky Blues from being an apprentice between 1980-85 scoring once in 29 first team appearances and has dedicted the Day to the aid of Cancer Research in memory of his mother Gwendoline who succumbed to the disease and says, “I just feel like I want to give something back to the charity and through work I was given a really good opportunity to organise an event like this. I would really like to get as many people as I can on board”.

Peter is a regular at the Association’s own Golf Day in June each year and is pictured at this year’s event, also at Stoneleigh Deer Park G.C.

Readers who are interested in joining Peter on the 29th can ring him on 0776120438 or contact him by email on peter.hormantchuk@uk.tesco.uk.
