"It was a big surprise when I saw the fixture list," said Chris Coleman to the CT's Alan Poole. "It will be nice to have the chance to see my parents but we are not going down there for the festivities - this is our job.

"To bw honest, I was hoping for Wolves or Derby, somebody close like that but you have to take what you are given.

"We'll be in for training on Christmas Day and then leaving to get down there at 8.30-9pm, ready to go to work the next day.

"I've got four children and it's great to be there on Christmas morning opening the presents. But whatever day of the week it falls, Christmas Day is always like a Friday for me because I am always thinking about the next day.

"My wife is used to it - she knows I'll be vacant half the time, staring into space because my mind is on the job.

"We have six weeks off in the summer so we can have our Christmas then."

If you are planning on going to the Liberty Stadium,Swansea on Boxing Day, make sure you get a ticket either today or tomorrow as there are none on sale on the day and you cannot pay cash on the day.
