Chris Stokes Could Be Out For Three Months

Chris Stokes could be out of action for three months.

The Coventry City defender saw a consultant about his knee and had an injection. However, his knee has not responded to this and Stokes could now face surgery which could keep him out for three months.

“He hasn’t responded to the injection very well, " said Tony Mowbray to the Coventry Telegraph.

“He’s got a medical appointment tomorrow and although it’s not 100 per cent guaranteed yet but it looks like he’ll need an invasive operation.

“We don’t know how long he’ll be out yet, it’s not a cruciate or anything like that. It depends what they find from the scans but looks as if they are going to have a look inside.”
